The League of Business is a dynamic and multifaceted organization with a diverse portfolio that focuses on the entrepreneurial movement in the community.


As part of the LOB Sales Team, you will sell print and social media advertising mainly for the Club's Magazine and Special Events. The publicity packages are ready and up to date so all you really need is the drive and ability to seal some deals and make money as you go.

Joining our team means stepping into an active environment where passion meets purpose, and if you already know local entrepreneurs, local event organizers, local business people, or any local entrepreneurial related initiative; you will easily build a list of advertisers. Plus, we have been selling advertising for many years now so you won't be alone, we will keep you updated with strategies and techniques to help you succeed.


Your principal advertisers are:


  • Local brands

  • Local entrepreneurs (in business, art, music, events, and such)

  • Local startups

  • Local companies

  • Local non profits

  • Local business owners

Tip: Use professional networks, relationships within current contacts, and other entrepreneurial related forums to create new opportunities and meet prospects.




  • Represent the League of Business with the best of your attitude, personal image, and customer care.

  • Learn and demonstrate full understanding of the League of Business products (advertising spaces) and clearly articulate the benefits and advantages to prospective clients.

  • Identify new leads Independently with the goal of contacting 30+ prospects per month. Yes, you can go as slow as 1 contact per day! #pieceofcake

  • Provide biweekly feedback and report on lead generation, prospecting, and new opportunities.




  • Good understanding of the advertising spaces we offer.

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as part of a collaborative team.

  • Highly motivated, results driven, and sales focused.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Professional and self motivated attitude.

  • Ability and desire to excel at prospecting using a combination of new and tried techniques.

  • Strong sales strategy skills are a must!


Prior experience/knowledge of the print advertising industry and/or established agency and brand relationships are a significant plus.


Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099 Contract)

Pay: 20% straight commission.

Let's say you take it slow and only sell 10 magazine ad spaces per month (that’s something around $5,000 worth of advertising), you could be making $12,000 per year. Imagine how much you can make if you sell more!
