National Small Business Week

We recently caught up with Aimee Rodriguez, Outreach and Marketing Officer at the El Paso SBA, and we had a conversation that felt very much like a reminder of why entrepreneurship matters in the first place.

You know there is a certain energy that comes from people who genuinely believe in what they do, and Aimee carries that with clarity. So first, a proper shoutout to her for the enthusiasm she brings to the small business ecosystem!!

When we talked about National Small Business Week 2026, the message was simple: this is not just a celebration, it is a checkpoint. A moment to recognize how far entrepreneurs have come and, more importantly, where they are going.

Small businesses make up 99% of all U.S. businesses and employ nearly half of the private workforce. That is not a statistic to skim past, it is a reflection of how much of the economy is driven by individuals who decided to build something of their own.

What stood out most in our conversation was the idea of visibility. Not in the sense of recognition for recognition’s sake, but in the importance of sharing stories, processes, and lessons. So this week my dear friends, more than anything, is an invitation to recognize and celebrate yourself!!

Because behind every “successful business” is a timeline full of pivots, risks, and quiet decisions that rarely get documented.
